POSTCARD: Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church (Gedächtniskirche) is a Protestant church located in Berlin on the Kurfürstendamm in the centre of the Breitscheidplatz. The original church on the site was built in the 1890s. The present building was built between 1959 and 1963. The damaged spire of the old church has been retained and its ground floor has been made into a memorial hall.
STAMP: The stamp (2013) features the 963 m (3,159 ft) long Fehmarn Sound Bridge (Fehmarnsundbrücke) that connects Fehmarn in the Baltic Sea with the German mainland near Großenbrode.

I didn't know Kaiser Wilhelm was popular after Germany's defeat in World War I. I guess after the second world war ended, the Germans longed for a period of prosperity and reason.
