POSTCARD: The Banded Goby is a relatively large goby found in both Hoi Ha Wan and Tung Ping Chau Marine Parks. It inhabits shallow sandy and rubbled areas, as well as holes or crevices in hard corals. It feeds on invertebrates and algae by filtering the sand through its grills.
The Banded Goby (Amblygobius phalaena) is a tropical fish species which can grow up to 15 cms.
