POSTCARD: The Metropolitan Cathedral of Saints Vitus, Wenceslaus and Adalbert (Metropolitní katedrála svatého Víta, Václava a Vojtěcha) is a Roman Catholic metropolitan cathedral situated at the Prague Castle and the seat of the Archbishop of Prague. The cathedral was dedicated only to Saint Vitus until 1997, and is still commonly named only as St. Vitus Cathedral. Saint Vitus Cathedral (Katedrála svatého Víta) is the largest, most important & most beautiful religious building in Prague. 

The cathedral is under the ownership of the Czech government and the burial place of the former Czech kings and a home of the Czech Crown Jewels. It is also houses historical treasures such as the 14th-century mosaic of the Last Judgement & the tombs of St Wenceslas and Charles IV, the baroque silver tomb of St John of Nepomuk, the ornate Chapel of St Wenceslas and art nouveau stained glass by Alfons Mucha.
