The Malacañang Palace (Palasyo ng Malakanyang), officially Malacañan Palace, is the official residence and principal workplace of the President of the Philippines located along Pasig River. The original structure was built in 1750 by Don Luís Rocha as a summer house and became the Spanish Governor-General's official residence in 1863 and American Governors in 1898.
