Postcard from the Netherlands | 1981 The Royal Palace in The Hague


POSTCARD: The card shows the stamp of 1981 featuring The Royal Palace in The Hague at 55C. Located in the western side of Dam Square, Amsterdam, The Royal Palace is one of the three palaces used by the Royal Family up to this day. It is built in 17th century during the Dutch Golden Age. This 350 year old palace with its marble floors, magnificent paintings, delicate sculptures, gigantic chandeliers used to be the City Hall of Amsterdam until 1808 when King Louis Napoleon Bonaparte transformed it into a palace.
